The Marcus Garvey in Schools (MGIS) Pilot Project is historic and one that aims to guide the children to their own heritage. MGIS will help children understand their own history and innate knowledge as children of colour. The curriculum will include:

Constitution - Marcus Garvey In Schools Foundation
We, the founders and members of the Marcus Garvey in Schools Foundation (MGISF), inspired by the philosophy and opinions of the Rt. Excellent Marcus Mosiah Garvey and committed to the betterment of Jamaican youth, hereby establish this constitution to guide our actions and decisions in achieving our noble objectives.
A Proclamation - Marcus Garvey Day
The Proclamation made known by His Excellency the Governor-General, that the 17th day of August in each year, shall be designated as Marcus Garvey Day, and shall so be observed, effective August 17, 2012.

Civic Reception for Dr. Julius Garvey and the MGIS Foundation
The teachings of Marcus Garvey, and Garveyism embracing Jamaica’s first National Hero Marcus Mosiah Garvey have been approved for 23 primary schools. Dr. Julius Garvey visited Jamaica in Febraury 2023 and did several visits to schools and met with officials.
