to their own heritage
Our Aim is to help children understand their own history. The Marcus Garvey in Schools (MGIS) Pilot Project is historic and one that aims to guide the children to their own heritage. MGIS will help children understand their own history and innate knowledge as children of colour.
OBJECTIVES
The objects for which MGIS Foundation is established are:
a. To educate youth all across Jamaica between the ages of 5 and 25, starting with the early childhood sector, about the teachings and philosophy of the Rt. Excellent Marcus Mosiah Garvey.
b. To teach and promote the tenets of financial literacy and self-reliance in accordance with the philosophies of the Rt. Excellent Marcus Mosiah Garvey to youths across Jamaica between the ages of 5 and 25.
